Alpha Phi Philanthropy Events
Red Dress Gala
Once a year, we hold our Annual Red Dress Gala. The Gala serves as one of our major fundraising events for the Alpha Phi Foundation! Money is raised through our Red Dress Brunch and Silent Auction. Past items auctioned off include a David Yurman bracelet, several vacation home getaways, Tory Burch purse, V-I-PHI parking spot at the Alpha Phi Lodge, and various fun-themed gift baskets. At Red Dress Gala, members wear red dresses in support of women's heart health. Boasting an attendance of over 500 people, Red Dress Gala is a staple event in Lubbock. The past two years we have raised over $25,000 to continue raising money for a cause to live for.
Taste of Texas
Taste of Texas is one of our biggest annual philanthropy events. We host local food trucks to come out and participate, in addition to well-known country artists such as Parker McCollum, Curtis Grimes, and Dalton Domino. Many people from the Texas Tech and Lubbock community come out and enjoy the delicious eats and treats while two-stepping the night away, all directly contributing to the Alpha Phi Foundation!
Alpha Phifa
Alpha Phifa is our annual spring philanthropy soccer tournament. We invite all students to come out and play in support of our philanthropy and raise awareness for heart health. We just hosted our seventh annual tournament, and with 33 teams, we were able to raise over two thousand dollars for the Alpha Phi Foundation!
